Perhaps even more surprising is that several of the deadliest diseases are partially preventable. Non-preventable factors include where a person lives, access to preventive care, and quality of healthcare. These all factor into risk. But there are still steps everyone can take to lower their risk.
Read on to see the top 10 diseases causing the most deaths worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) Trusted Source.

RACISM

ABOUT RACISM

Presented by kleio sarri, B5

What is racism?

Racism takes many forms and can happen in many places. It includes prejudice, discrimination or hatred directed at someone because of their colour, ethnicity or national origin.

People often associate racism with acts of abuse or harassment. However, it doesn’t need to involve violent or intimidating behaviour. Take racial name-calling and jokes. Or consider situations when people may be excluded from groups or activities because of where they come from.

THE EVOLUTION OF FASHION

"The history of fashion and the evolution of clothing"
Presented by Maria Chanioti, B4
INTRODUCTION
The word fashion comes from the Latin word "modus" which means lifestyle and behavior. Fashion is the tendency of man to search for something new and something modern according to the data of every age. It is characterized by timeliness and varies according to the season. It dates from the appearance of man on earth and occupies an important part of his life because it is a means of expression, ideology, aesthetics, social status, religion, personality, mentality and civilization in general.
Paleolithic Era
In the Paleolithic era, people used to grease their bodies to protect themselves mainly from sunlight and other environmental hazards. Still, they engaged in face and body painting. Make use of lightly processed clothing, ie vegetable or animal, such as animal skins, leaves and tree branches.

28 Foods Not To Feed Your Dog

Presented by Kleio Sarri, B5

28 τρόφιμα να μην ταΐζετε το σκυλί σας
Παρουσιάζει η Κλειώ Σαρρή, Β5

Stop feeding your dog food without knowing how it could affect them.
Σταματήστε τη σίτιση των σκύλων με τροφές χωρίς να γνωρίζετε πώς μπορεί να τους επηρεάσει.

Human Food Is Not Always Dog-Friendly

Το ανθρώπινο φαγητό δεν είναι πάντα φιλικό προς τα σκυλιά

Foods that are perfectly suitable for human consumption, as well as other animals, may be toxic and even poisonous to your dog, posing a serious threat to their health and well-being. Why? Because all animals have very different rates of metabolism. Metabolism is the process of breaking down food and turning it into energy.
Please note that while we’re attempting to add every food we can find that is potentially unsafe for dogs, there are certain foods that we may miss, so don’t consider a food safe to feed to our dog just because it’s not on this list of foods bad for dogs.

GREECE

15 Interesting Facts About Greece

                   Presented by Kleio Sarri, B5

1. Greece is often considered to be the world’s first democracy

The Athenian Democracy was a system dating back to the fifth century B.C. It was a system of direct democracy, where citizens with voting-rights voted directly on legislation and executive bills. However, participation at this point was not open to all residents. To vote, you had to be an adult and male citizen. So in other words, foreigners, women, and slaves had no votes.

ATHLETICS

EXERCISING
Presented by Maria Tsantouli, B4
A. How Does Exercise Help Me?

1- Exercise increases the capacity of the lungs. The lungs in each inhalation get more air, and therefore more oxygen with less effort.
2- It increases the capacity of the heart in various ways. The heart is also a muscle. The more trained he is, the more efficient he works. The working heart is not capable of responding to a tiring activity. The hardened heart in each pulse sends more blood to the body's tissues. So when we want to catch the bus, play on the beach, climb a ladder quickly, and generally, lose intense physical activity, our heart is ready to meet the demands. It sends more blood with each beat and beats at a much slower rate than the trainer. On the contrary, the hardened heart, in its attempt to respond, can work dangerously.
3- The body is not only beautiful but also strong. It helps the musculoskeletal system. With exercise we get a better attitude. We are not bowing anymore nor are we leaning forward. Having a strong skeleton and muscles makes us faster and stronger. We can run in the park, jump away, climb the hillside, pick up a heavy object more easily. We are certainly becoming more resilient. By gaining all these benefits we gain more confidence in ourselves and in our abilities.
4- Exercise shields our health and protects us from epidemics and diseases.
5- It helps to sleep better at night. We no longer suffer from insomnia.
6- Exercise has a better appetite and is easier to digest.
7- Exercising with a healthy lifestyle leads to longevity.
