Christmas Long Ago

Frosty days and ice-still nights,

Fir trees trimmed with tiny lights,

Sound of sleigh bells in the snow,

That was Christmas long ago.

Tykes on sleds and shouts of glee,

Icy-window filigree,

Sugarplums and candle glow,

Part of Christmas long ago.

Footsteps stealthy on the stair,

Sweet-voiced carols in the air,

Stocking hanging in a row,

Tell of Christmas long ago.

Starry nights so still and blue,

Good friends calling out to you.

Life, so fact, will always slow…

For dreams of Christmas long ago.

Our journalists are ready to give you scoops of fresh news. This year we really hope things will be better.

It's jam-packed with all the latest news plus lots of information to make you realise what exists in this world!!

I have noticed that two things happen when you live through an era of rapid change, as we are now. Firstly, there is an inevitable surge of artistic creativity and second the misfits, the contrarians, the underdogs and the anti-heroes come into their own.

I tasked the team with bringing me fresh thinking, reverse thinking, big, bold ideas and a new, more diverse and inclusive approach. The issue is loosely based on the theme of change. So much was changing around us in the world of politics, fashion, music, literature and online as we worked from very early mornings to late, late nights coming up with ideas and themes.

We hope that you will enjoy our work, so come along with us!!!
